Could There be a Compromise?
The nature vs. nurture debate is still ongoing, and will continue because neither side has enough valid information to say one is completely right over the other. The information that both sides have is considered invalid because according to the sociologists it is not up to ethical standards.
The major thing people need to consider when looking at the facts of this debate is that both sides might be correct and it may be a mix of both sides that makes up who we are. The “third side” is that where nature and nurture coexist and is often forgotten when researchers present different evidence. If people can keep the “third side” in mind when taking a side in this debate, then researchers may come to a conclusion faster than they would if there were only two sides because it shows that both sides are considered when making the ultimate decision in how humans become who they are.
